Next Level Homemade Hot Chocolate

Does anyone else think the holiday season starts right after Thanksgiving? I do! One of my favorite things to do during December is watch a movie, snuggled up with a fuzzy blanket and watch a movie while drinking Hot Chocolate. It's truly the best way to unwind after a longgg day. I love making Homemade Hot Chocolate because not only do I have it in a matter of minutes in the comfort of my own home, but it's better than the store-bought stuff....100%. It's so much creamier, richer, and tastier especially when you know every ingredient you put in there.

You can totally customize this recipe to fit your liking: too sweet for you? add less sugar! want it to be healthier? swap out the milk for almond milk! don't like coffee? skip the instant coffee!

One of the best ways to customize this hot chocolate is by adding some of your own fun flavors. Some options include:

  • Peppermint extract for a mintier drink

  • Ground cinnamon if you'd like a seasonal kick

  • Salted caramel because who doesn't love caramel?!

  • Drizzle of chocolate syrup for a chocolate flavor boost

  • Shot of espresso if you're a coffee person

Honestly, the list is endless. Just have fun with it and play around with flavors you love!

Happy making! :)
